iPad/iPhone
Connect to the same Wi-Fi network on your iOS device and the device that you want to AirPlay to.
We need to switch the ipad from the Student wireless network to the internal network in order to connect to the desktops.
-Go into Settings / Wireless Networks
–Select SD54-WL as your network
On Computer select AirServer Universal in the startmenu to start the program.
-You should see message near clock about it running.
Turn on AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring
Older iPads:
- Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center.
- In Control Center, tap AirPlay icon, then select your desktop from the list.
Newer iPads:
- Swipe down from the top right corner of your screen to open Control Center.
- In Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, then select your desktop from the list.
When you have connected a 4 diget passcode will be displayed on the screen enter that into your iDevice.
You will now be connected.
Turn off AirPlay or AirPlay Mirroring
Older iPads:
- Swipe up to open Control Center.
- In Control Center, swipe horizontally to find the Now Playing screen.
- Tap AirPlay icon to open a list of your available AirPlay devices.
- Select your iOS device from the list.
Newer iPads
- Swipe down from the top right corner to open Control Center
- Click on Screen Mirroring
- Select Stop Mirroring
Mirroring your desktop with macOS:
- Press the AirPlay icon in the top menu bar and choose your AirServer receiver.
- This will automatically mirror your macOS screen to AirServer.
Use the Airserver Connect App
Start the Airserver Program
Click the Airserver icon,
QR Code for Airserver Connect
A QR code will now be displayed on your computer.
Open the Airserver Connect App on you device and scan the code. Once the scan is finished you will be able to select your Airserver computer and connect.
Youtube
Youtube can not be run directly from the app, open youtube in the browser and run the video from there.
Chromebooks
In Chrome click the 3 dots (right side) and select Cast in the drop down menu.
In the window that pops up select the name of the computer you want to connect to.
Click the cast to drop down, to select what you want to cast, the entire desktop or just the Chrome browser.
How to use the recording feature on Windows:
AirServer allows you to record the video and audio sent in mirroring mode. Follow these steps:
- Begin by mirroring your iOS device to your PC.
- Move your mouse over the AirServer window.
- Right click within the AirServer window. A menu box will appear.
- Click the name of your device in this menu box and you will see a record option.
- Click Record to begin your recording.
- When you have finished, right click on the AirServer window, click on the device’s name, and click Stop to end the recording session.
- Save the recording.
- The recording will be saved in whichever folder you’ve selected.
