This is a two step process, first the filter itself needs to be cleaned, then the projector requires the counter be reset.

    Cleaning the Filter

  1. Turn off your NEC projector by flipping the power switch on the back of the device. Unplug the projector's power cord.
  2. Locate the projector's filter, located on the back right corner of the device. Lift the filter up and out of the device by its grooved edge.
  3. Use a can of compressed air to remove any lint and dust from both sides of the filter, or use a vacuum cleaner's hose attachment to remove lint and dust from the filter
  4. Place the filter back into your NEC projector, plug in the device's power cord and power on the projector. The filter will only slide back into the projector if it is properly aligned.

    Resetting the Filter Usage Time

  1. Press the "Menu" button on the NEC projector's remote control. Navigate to the "reset" setting using the left -right arrows.
  2. Press the down arrow button to navigate to the "Clear Filter Usage" option. Press "Enter."
  3. Select "Yes" to confirm you want to reset the filter usage time. Press "Enter" to complete the process.

Note: Do not use soap and water to clean your projector's filter, as this will damage the filter's membrane.
